Ok, so this bird might not have any feathers but it is rather adorable, don't you think?
I picked up this beauty from a little gift shop called Realm by Design in Mosman Park, Perth.
It was $35 and worth every penny! It was made by ELK Accessories over in Melbourne out of stainless steel and undyed wood. Check out their website as they have some gorgeous pieces of jewellery.
I bought the brooch back in December sometime and completely forgot I had it until today when I was doing a bit of a tidy up of my craft room. I found it and knew stright away what I wanted to use it for.... to add a bit of style to a crochet newboy cap that I had recently finished making! I don't know about you, but i think it suits the cap perfectly!
The cap is made using a pattern i bought off Etsy from thnkdfrent. I used Rowan All Seasons Cotton to make the cap so it is lovely and soft and great for those inbetween months as well.
