We've all been on a summer holiday...

What a weekend we have had! My Fiancee, myself and our two children set off on the 3 hour drive down south of Friday afternoon to spend the weekend in Yallingup. For those of you that have never heard of Yallingup, it is a beautiful town in Western Australia's South West. It has scenery to die for and waves that surfers crave.

Anyway, we were there for my fiancee's grandmother's 70th Birthday. We all trekked down there and we went to Amberley Winery for an amazing feast on the Saturday. After that we drove back to our little beachside dwelling, a caravan/chalet park that overlooks the beach.
We were even lucky enough to see some of the whales! There were quite a few that were passing and there was even a mother and calf playing in the water. It was amazing to watch.

Before we drove back home this morning, we took the kids to one of the beaches in Dunsborough and let them have a little splash. The beach we took them too was perfect for kids. It had a large sandbank that held a bit of the water making it lovely and warm, and best of all, shallow! The kids (being fully clothed with no bathers of course) started off with their pants rolled up but after a few falls we let them take them off and just run around in their tops and underwear.

I have a few 'happy shots' to share with you all too. I hope you enjoy the photos and that they put a smile on your face like they do on mine.
